Rock Wool Cubes
Rock wool cubes are to (semi) hydroponics what is sphagnum moss to conventional potting mixes. Use it as a filler in moss poles and root sleeves. It's inorganic composition prevents any decomposing organic materials or residue coming into your hydro medium (leca, pon etc.) which can happen if you use organic filling mediums i.e. sphagnum moss.
Mix it with pon to fill the moss pole and add some extra water retention or just use it on its own.
The approximate dimensions of a single rock wool cube are 10x10x10mm.
Warning: Please use protective gear (i.e. disposable gloves) when handling rock wool because it can cause skin irritation when handled bare handed.
Volume: 2l or 5.
