Begonia 'Maculata'
Begonia 'Maculata', also known as is Begonia 'Polka Dot' is probably one of the most well-known cane begonias. And for a good reason - it's leaves are a striking dark green color with light pink underside and are covered in bright white dots. New leaves emerge in light pink color and slowly transform through light green to dark green when they harden off completely, remaining covered in white dots throughout the process.
When given enough light and nutrients, the Begonia 'Maculata' can grow into a large, impressive specimen.
Begonia 'Maculata's name is of Latin origin and means spotted.
As with all cane begonias, Begonia 'Maculata' can be grown in
Lechuza Pon or our
Fern Fairy aroid mix. When mixing your own potting substrate keep in mind that begonias like a little more water retention than aroids.
You will receive the exact plant shown. As plants keep growing, it may look slightly different from the photo. Photo taken: 30 October 2026.
